Disaster Relief - How YOU Can Help

There are a number of things you can do to get involved and do your part in helping those in need.With a crisis situation as devastating at that of hurricane Katrina, the amount of help needed greatly outweighs the help available.

Donate Funds
You can start by making a financial contribution to any of the global,national,regional or local organization who are sponsoring funds towards the rescue, relief and rebuilding of the Gulf communities and people.

Donate Goods
Donating items for the cause can be enormously beneifcial to those in need. However, the best way to donate your individual items is by finding a local organization accepting material donations. They will help you determine what is most approrpiate for the need as well as organize the proper delivery of your donated items.

Donate Time
Many organization recruit volunteers to help in a variety of situations. Contact your organiation of choice and find out how you can volunteer to help.

Spread the Word
One of the best forms of help, is letting other know they too can help. Challange yourco-workers, your employer, your hairdresser, your doctor... to get involved any way they can. Contact those you know can have a impact on organizing help efforts.

Hurricane 2005 Relief and other Related Events
Victims of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to recover from the massive storm that is still making its way across the Mid-Atlantic States. American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina’s destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

Feed the Children
Hurricane Katrina Emergency Relief [5251-10]
Feed The Children has more than 25 truckloads of relief supplies, including food, bottled water, cleaning supplies, paper products and other emergency essentials on their way. They are heading into Louisiana, Mississippi, and the surrounding areas that were hit by Hurricane Katrina.
Truckloads are also on their way to Texas and Georgia to assist in relief efforts for those who have been evacuated from the devastated areas.
Feed The Children will continue to provide supplies and relief to the individuals, children and families affected by Hurricane Katrina for as long as necessary.
