Constructive critisism is welcome but don't say something sucks, even if it does. I'm not good at writing poetry but I'm trying to practice. Our Walk of Life You and I held hands As we walked across the sands We crawled together through fields of wheat In the cold or in the heat Life with you was full of nature I didn’t know what would be in the future One day I let go I lifted off and left you down below Though I shall move on Though I may be gone Life left me no other choice I can still hear your voice It may be obscure I just couldn’t endure The weight on my back With my skies turning black I turned the other direction We lost our connection Don't be afraid to tell us if your poem is inspired by somebody or something. In this case, the poem was inspired by my old friend Troy. I'm the one who left him because I decided to go to private school thinking it would be better for me.
