My Best Friend.

When I felt like the whole world was coming to an end
and my saddest days had come,
I met someone who made me smile
and I no longer felt so glum

On the night I sat alone at home
and tears feel from my eyes
he was the one who came to me
and listened to my cries.

I then became a better person
than I had become before,
with the love I was given and a smile each day
he opened a whole new door.

When I thought that I had hit rock bottom
and I would never live again,
he brought me into his loving arms
and became someone I could call my friend.

I will never go back to the way I was
before I met my friend.
And I hope that when everyone parts,
we will stay best friends until the end.
